Here are some festivities and traditions from Sweden and Croatia

Midsummer Sweden
(Midsommar – Midsummer) Midsummer is when you dance around a large pole called "midsummerpole". We do this to celebrate the harvest in the fields. Around the pole we dance and sing songs that we sing our selves. Two of our famous songs are called "small frogs & we are musicians." Our food, is usually herring, potatoes and strawberries. We also drink a lot of schnapps during the party. The clothes are usually a little more festive and we have a midsummer wreath made of flowers on our head.
Vinkovacke jeseni Croatia
Vinkovačke jeseni are a cultural event of Vinkovci. Showing folk dances, traditional costumes and customs in order to preserve traditional values. Vinkovačke jeseni are held every year in September and also mark the beginning of autumn. It is celebrated in September because then fall starts from Slavonia and rewards for their hard work throughout the year on the fields. At Vinkovačke jeseni participate various folklore society and show their traditional costumes and dances.

Crayfish Party Sweden
Crayfish party is a holiday when we eat crayfish and drink schnapps. usually gather all filmijer and friends and have fun together. This party is during that time that crayfish are as most of the Swedish seas.

Sinjska alka Croatia
Sinjska alka is a Croatian knights' game. It is held every year on the Sunday in the first third of the month in August, on the anniversary of the victory over the Turkish conquerors on 14th August in 1715. Alkars are on horses in full gallop and strive to hit the middle of Alka hung at the end stretched over the tracks. It was created in the early 18th century.
